October is National Farm to School Month! Farm to School Month connects children and communities with the source of their food and the farmers and ranchers that grow it. In honor of Farm to School month, let’s explore some of our favorite resources that connect young learners to their food!
Right This Very Minute
Right This Very Minute, the first book published by Feeding Minds Press, celebrates food and farming and inspires readers of all ages to learn more about where their food comes from—right this very minute! Get a copy here! Or you can watch author Lisl H. Detlefsen read the book aloud! We have 2 free lessons you can download to accompany the book. The first is an English Literacy activity and the second explores science concepts. If you enjoyed those, you can buy the complete educator's guide!
